The combined impact of the service life and relevant reliability level of structures on the financial and environmental aspects of concrete infrastructure building is discussed. An approach and tools for advanced design, assessment and decision-making utilizing modeling of degradation phenomena and relevant reliability of concrete structures, taking into account uncertainties involved are presented.
