The Institute of Food Science and Biotechnology at FCH BUT in Brno invites students and staff to a guest lecture by Michal Lazor from Tierra Verde, a leading Czech manufacturer of natural cosmetics and eco household products. The lecture will take place on 22 April in lecture hall P1.
The topic of the lecture is "Lessons Learned" – Developing and Manufacturing Cosmetics Certified by Ecogarantie®, one of the most stringent ecological certifications in the cosmetics and personal care industry. Participants will gain insight into the certification requirements, the selection of suitable raw materials, recipe development, the technological constraints of ecological production, and practical experience from the certification process itself.
Tierra Verde was founded in 2008 and is a pioneer of genuinely ecological manufacturing in the Czech Republic. As the first Czech personal care producer to obtain Ecogarantie® certification, the company guarantees that its products are gentle not only on the environment, but also on human health and the social conditions of production. The company has long applied True Eco principles, minimises packaging, and develops packaging-free distribution systems.
Michal Lazor works in the innovation and development department at Tierra Verde, where he contributes to the development of new products and technological solutions in line with ecological and certification requirements. His lecture will offer a practical perspective on the intersection of chemical and technological development with sustainability and the constraints of legislation and certification.
