Creativity, technology and entrepreneurship. JIC offers an entrepreneurship course and a student meetup

JIC (South Moravian Innovation Centre) is preparing two opportunities for students who want to meet inspiring people, make new contacts, or try developing their own business idea. In September, the Creative Meets Tech student meetup will take place, and a semester-long entrepreneurship course worth 4 credits is also on offer.

Creative Meets Tech student meetup

The meetup will take place on 22 September 2026 from 5:00 PM at KUMST. Speakers will include Jan Sláma, co-founder and CEO of FaceUp, and Michaela Steinhauser, co-founder of the Skinners brand and current CEO of the Semoia brand.

The programme will include talks by the main speakers, a moderated cross-talk, and space for networking with students from different fields and universities.

Participation is free, but registration in advance is required.

Semester-long entrepreneurship course

The second option is to join the semester-long entrepreneurship course, which JIC is preparing together with BUT, MUNI and MENDELU.

The course is free, and students who complete it will earn 4 credits. They will work in teams that bring together not only different fields of study but also students from several Brno universities.
