Integrated Systems of Management

The subject deepens the knowledge and understanding of philosophy of quality management system according to ISO 9001 and of environmental management system according toISO 14001 in construction firm. The student will gain the basic knowledge of safety management according OHSAS 18001.
The student gets the practical acquaintance with the principle of continuous improvement in IMS and with economic aspects of IMS.

The main objective of the subject it is to deepen knowledge of particular management systems and to show the principle and the reason of connection of particular systems into the functional unified management system.

1. Practical application of "process approach" as the basic principle of the continuous improvement in Integrated Management System. 2. Detailed information about EN ISO 14001 standard "Environmental Management Systems - Requirements". 3. Evaluation of environmental aspects in a construction firm, creation of the Aspects register according to EN ISO 14001 standard. 4. Methods for finding the legislative requirements for environmental protection in construction firm, evaluation of the compliance with this legislation. 5. Another environmental requirements according to EN ISO 14001 standard "Environmental Management Systems - Requirements", their integration in the frame of integrated management system of construction firm. 6. Detailed information about EN ISO 18001 standard "Occupational health and safety management systems - Requirements". 7. Methods for built up of Risk analysis for the activities in a construction firm. 8. Methods for finding the legislative requirements for health and safety protection in a construction firm, evaluation of the compliance with this legislation. 9. Another requirements of EN ISO 18001 standard and their integration to Integrated Management System of a construction firm. 10. Procedures for certification of partial management systems. Credit test.
