Original Abstract

This paper deals with scheduling problems under uncertainty. Two modifications of the conventional permutation flow shop scheduling problem are studied. The first one treats a case where a due date of each job is uncertain, the second one assumes an uncertain processing time of each job on each machine. Presented approaches to uncertainty modelling are based on fuzzy set theory and enable to solve these scheduling problems using stochastic heuristic methods.
