Original Abstract

In this work Fontinalis antipyretica moss species were used for monitoring of metal pollution in down part of Morava River (Czech Republic, South Moravia). The sampling points were located at Spytihněv, Bělov and Uherské Hradińtě. Approximately 20 grams of aquatic moss in the form of moss bags were deployed for 28 days in the river water. For analysis of accumulated metals, microwave assisted decomposition by nitric acid and hydrogen peroxide was performed and after flame atomic absorption spectrometry was used
