Original Abstract

The most favourable conditions of human thermo regulation are guaranteed by the optimum room temperature. These conditions are influenced not only by objective but also by some subjective factors. Convenient microclimate conditions have to be guaranteed in living rooms and in rooms which are determined for a permanent stay of people. This conditions have to be guaranteed in winter and also in summer period. Therefore the structures have to be designed of materials which have suitable physical property. The primary thermal claims are mentioned in ČSN 730540. One of the most important claims is the thermal stability of room and also the highest room temperature in summer period. Fulfilment of these claims shoud be guaranteed by suitable structural design of building so that there do not have to be used air-conditioning. The thermal stability of room is influenced by the size of windows and their orientation. The undesirable summer overheating can be prevented by reduction of window size, suitable shielding or a better choice of suitable glazing.
