Original Abstract

This paper is focused on optimized design of a transmission pole from spun concrete. Optimization is based on minimization of amount of reinforcing and prestressing steel lengthwise a pole in accordance with ULS and SLS of the EUROCODE design code (price of the materials is taken into account). The design of a transmission pole is automated by means of computer program. The paper contains the definition of basic algorithms of the proposed solution and outputs from solved examples. There are presented some outcomes of parametric studies made for specific pole.
