Original Abstract

The creation of an indented surface is essential for an effective enlargement of the active area of microsensors. The enlargement leads to a significant increase in the microsensor sensitivity. The enlargement (thus the surface modification) can be accomplished in a number of ways but the most simple and low-cost technology is the template-based electrodeposition method. The method consists in two phases. At first, the Al2O3 template, which the nanostructures are formed through, had to be created and then is the nanostructure formation itself.
