Original Abstract

This paper deals with the problem of the resistance of the fastening of steel to concrete. The brief information about the results of experimental research programme concentrated to the post-installed steel anchors is presented in this paper. Especially this research programme was directed to the analysis of actual behaviour and load-carrying capacity of expansion steel anchors under tension loading actions, both under static loading both under repeated (cyclic) loading. The actual behaviour in the process of loading, the failure mechanism and ultimate strength were monitored during the experiments. The resistances obtained from the tests for cyclic loading have been compared with the resistances obtained from the tests for static loading. The ultimate tension forces obtained from experiments have been evaluated using the statistical methods, eventually using the procedure for the determination of the characteristic and design values of the resistance according to EC 1.
