Original Abstract

This paper describes current operational amplifier (COA) with infinite gain as a building block for high frequency analog circuits operating particularly in current mode. These circuits, unlike voltage mode circuits, maintain better signal-to-noise ratio at lower supply voltage which is used in modern integrated circuits. Fundamental subcircuits with COA, such as differential amplifiers, integrators etc., operating in current mode are introduced. They can offer multiple inputs or outputs and thus they are suitable for implementation in circuits with multiple feedbacks, such as state-variable frequency filters.
