Original Abstract

This contribution presents three recent applications of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) for prediction of emissions and analysis of combustion characteristics. All of them are bound together by their relationship with processes for thermal treatment of different types of waste. All three case studies also document the profit that can be obtained from the use of advanced computational tools in real industrial processes.
