Original Abstract

This work focuses on the determining of the hydrogel structure using fluorescent nanoparticles. As the main method was chosen fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy (FLIM) and subsequent analyzes were performed by specialized programs. One of these program is able to create basic FLIM image. The other program processes these images into Euclidean distance map. Thanks to them it is possible to determine the mesh size and show the approximate structure of the hydrogel network. It is also possible to create 3D structure of the hydrogel from FLIM images obtained from z-scan. The another type of measurement was using nanoparticles of different diameters and excitation and emmision wavelenghts. They make it possible to track sites of varying pore sizes within a single experiment.
