Original Abstract

This paper presents the testbed designed for verification of the suitable function of the OBU (On-Board Unit) devices with IEEE 802.11p standard for inter-vehicle communication. The testbed has been designed with two OBU devices and one SDR (Software Defined Radio) device used to capture radio signals. The whole system is designed to test OBU and compatibility between them. The resulting system is thus able not only to receive messages, and repeat captured messages but also to generate new messages. Therefore, it may be able to generate complete message scenarios and test the behavior of the OBU for real operation. The functionality of the presented testbed was verified by capturing the 802.11p frame. The captured frame is analyzed and explained in detail.
