Original Abstract

The paper deals with the description of measurements of the luminance of the night sky in the urban agglomeration with emphasis on the determination of changes in the values of these luminance values when public and architectural lighting is switched off. The measurement took place in Brno and some of the surrounding areas under the administration of Technické sítě Brno. The information presented here is one of the views on the impact of human activity on the surrounding environment and an example of a possible solution to quantify the impact of the introduction of technologies that directly or indirectly affect the environment not only for humans, but life as a whole.
