Original Abstract

The paper deals with the evaluation of a new type of coronavirus, called WHO as COVID-19, by means of soft computing. Specifically, the fuzzy logic supported by neural networks is chosen, which serves to create a knowledge base of rules on the basis of which the model is evaluated. For analysis, European countries have been selected, to which the coronavirus has spread from the Wuhan epicenter in China, where a further outbreak of infection has subsequently emerged. Input variables such as area, population, density and tourism are chosen for the model. The output of the model is a normalized number of infected persons. Based on the output of the fuzzy model, we can say whether the country is high, medium and low threats country.
