Original Abstract

We discuss results obtained through the numerical modeling of planar arrays of passive dipoles functioning as resonators designed for THz frequencies. An important task within the designing process is to set up the relevant working frequencies; this phase depends on the dimensions and material properties, which have to match the given frequencies in the THz region. The paper comprises a design of a basic passive dipole segment and demonstrates the sensitivity of the individual dimensions to the dipole's spectral response.
