Original Abstract

Nowadays, total bandwidth grows rapidly year by year. Thanks to streaming services (such as Netflix, Amazon Prime video etc.), higher quality of video signal (FHD or 4k) and data services is necessary to find a future solution for access and backbone networks. There is one the most promising solution – optical fibres and optical networks. Optical networks are able to transfer, on one hand, popular services such as streaming and data transmission and on the other hand, special services such as accurate time, stable frequency, and high power optical sensor signal. In our work, we deal with the simultaneous transmission of accurate time, 100G data, and high power optical sensor based on Phi-OTDR. Measurement setup consists of optical fibre G.652 (7 km) and G.655 (10 km), we also provide results for their combination. The services were transferred in single fibre with ITU 100GHz channel spacing grid. We perform set of measurement with evaluation of BER value for data transmission affected by high power sensor system and accurate time values. Results confirmed our assumptions that 100GHz spacing is not large enough, especially with increasing power level of the sensor system.
