Original Abstract

In this work we investigate the steady-state and time-resolved fluorescence measurement of emission characteristics of the molecular probe Prodan in water solution, negatively-charged polyelectrolyte solution and cationic micellar solution. The steady-state spectra of prodan in different solutions are decomposed using time-correlating single photon counting measurement to individual fluorescence components with different lifetimes corresponding to different species of prodan. The obtained results are compared to each other and discussed.
