Original Abstract

Public administration of the Czech Republic is facing a relatively complicated situation. On the one hand, public administration is expected to be executed in an efficient, user-friendly and simple manner, On the other hand, public administration bodies need to ensure that the simple and pleasant form of communication is not achieved at the expense of communication and content handling safety. The search for a suitable solution is further complicated by the fact that resources (both financial and human) are considerably limited and often there is pressure on public administration to aim at further cost reductions. Frequently, there is a number of identical technical solutions for the individual information systems involved in public administration and there is a lack of competence management related to the requirements to ensure ICT services, although public administration organizations process specific information, which entails high levels of availability, integrity and confidentiality. This paper discusses the options of further eGovernance development in the Czech Republic, with regard to efficient utilization of cloud computing services.
