Original Abstract

Diamondoid molecules have high potential to be used in the field of nanotechnology. Adamantane, the simplest diamondoid, possesses exceptional physical characteristics. With extremely high thermal stability and the ability to self-organize [2], adamantine presents us with a tool for building 3D networks at nanoscale, simply by functionalizing a base material. Ethyl-adamantyl alkylated compounds have high potential for use as a fluorescent dye in OLED devices because of its simple synthesis, a fluorescence quantum yield comparable to commonly used metalorganic compounds commonly used as dyes
