Original Abstract

The article is focused on the possibility of using fuzzy logic principles in the authentication process in a computer network environment. Fuzzy logic could play an important role in authentication techniques where the input data is unclear or inaccurate and, therefore, the result of the process will also become unclear. Examples of this can be found in processing positional information concerning the user’s location at a particular moment within the authentication process. The paper shows a possible solution to these difficulties by using a location-based authentication system which relates to the user’s biometric data.
