Článek se zabývá jedním z velmi aktuálních témat – kreativním účetnictvím. Kreativní účetnictví je jednak stále častějším tématem vědeckých publikací v zahraničí a dnes už i v ČR. To potvrzuje rostoucí teoretický aparát v této oblasti, tak i prakticky denní téma zpráv o aktuálním dění. V článku je popsán historický pohled na problematiku kreativního účetnictví, dále jsou vymezeny pojmy nejčastěji užívané v souvislosti s kreativním účetnictvím včetně podvodu a účetnictví forenzního. Výstupem článku je zařazení kreativního účetnictví do rámce společenské odpovědnosti firem, nalezení společných rysů definic souvisejících pojmů a definování pojmu kreativní účetnictví.

The article deals with one of the most current topic – creative accounting. Creative accounting is more frequent topic of research publications abroad and now in the Czech Republic. This confirms the growing theoretical knowledge in this area, and practically daily news about current events. The article describe historical perspective on the issue of creative accounting, further defines the terms most often used in the context of creative accounting including fraud and forensic accounting. The output of the article is the inclusion of creative accounting in the framework of corporate social responsibility, finding common features definitions of related concepts and defining the concept of creative accounting.
