Original Abstract

In the construction industry are currently used non-destructive test methods in particular for evaluation of the quality of concrete. One of its use is the testing of masonry elements. This paper addresses the use of ultrasonic pulse methods for the detection of strength made of clay brick and lime-sand brick. The factors affecting the results of pulsed ultrasonic measuring method are analyzed. And also calibration equations are published for given strength of bricks from the ultrasonic pulse velocity and dynamic modulus of elasticity.
