Original Abstract

Recently published paper on application of ultrasound spectroscopy with high resolution and fractal analysis to the study of solution behavior of humic substances is commented. It is shown that the concentration increment of ultrasound velocity used to analyze ultrasonic data is mathematical construction which is very sensitive to experimental data uncertainties and should be accompanied by analysis of the very ultrasound velocities which are really measured. Fractal analysis does not take into account the compressibility dependence of ultrasound velocity properly
