Original Abstract

Článek se zabývá hlavním problémem při přenosu obrazu a videa v multimediálních sítích, který je spojen s obrovským množstvím dat reprezentující tyto modality. Příspěvek detailněji popisuje použití waveletové transformace na kompresi obrazu.

English abstract

The paper deals with main problem of images and video transmission in multimedia networks. This is joined with huge amount of data representing these modalities. The wavelet transform used for image compression is described in more detail.
