This article describes a design of a machine developed for manufacturing of a battery systems by joining singular battery cells by resistance spot-welding method. The document shows the main design parts and modules and discusses their function and implementation. The article also briefly talks about common joining methods used for joining the battery cells, their principles and the advantages and disadvantages.
