Original Abstract
This paper presents a case study comparing natural and mechanical ventilation in a kindergarten classroom. Based on experimental measurements, a reference model was developed, serving as the baseline for variant dynamic simulations and CFD analyses. The individual variants are evaluated in terms of thermal comfort, energy efficiency, and carbon footprint. To enable a comprehensive assessment of energy performance and environmental impact, dynamic building simulation was employed. The results demonstrate that controlled ventilation can significantly contribute to improving indoor environmental quality and achieving environmental goals within the ESG framework.
