Original Abstract

An approximate analytical approach for calculating a displacement load applied on the surface of a half-space with horizontal elastic layers is presented. A known analytical solution using uniform pressure on the surface of an elastic layer system is widely used for the effective design of roads, railroads, and other engineering structures. Such a solution is effectively used for approximating a displacement load using the collocation method.

English abstract
