Funkční vzorek zařízení slouží k poloautomatickému snímání sítnice oka. Osoba (pacient) musí přiložit tvář k zařízení tak, aby se dívala do kamerového systému a viděla okem červený zaměřovací bod. V tomto okamžiku je oko automaticky detekováno, dojde k posunutí kamerového systému s optikou do optické osy oka a dojde k nasnímání jednoho snímku sítnice oka, přičemž sítnice je osvětlena krátkým pulzem viditelného světla. Tento obrázek je možné získat přenosem přes ethernetové či USB rozhraní a dále s ním pracovat. Využití je určeno pro oftalmologické účely.

The functional model of the device serves for semi-automatic scanning of the retina of the eye. The person (patient) must place her/his face on the device so that he is looking into the camera system and seeing the red aiming point with his eye. At this point, the eye is automatically detected, the camera system and optics is positioned to the optical axis of the eye, and one image of the eye retina is taken, with the retina being illuminated by a short pulse of visible light. This image can be obtained by transferring via Ethernet or USB interface to a further work with it. The use is intended for ophthalmological purposes.
