Original Abstract

Vírová turbína vznikla roku 2000 jako reakce na požadavky malých investorů snížit náklady na výstavbu říčních vodních elektráren. Důvodem byla značná konstrukční složitost klasických vodních turbín.

English abstract

Swirl turbine was invented in 200 as a response to request of small power plant operators and investors on reduction of investment costs for erection of river power plants. The reason is the design complexity of classical hydraulic turbines. The new swirl turbine was successfully applied in several power plants across the Czech Republic and in 2017 was awarded by Engineering Academy of the Czech Republic as outstanding technical project.
