Original Abstract

This article discusses the suitability of several contact and non-contact instruments for surface texture measurement for applications on selected automotive parts. Attention is given to causes of differences in measured values of selected surface texture parameters, measurement feasibility and possibilities of analysis of measured data. Practical recommendations for surface texture evaluation in the automotive industry are presented.
