Original Abstract

In this paper the method for managing a line topology and estimating the topological parameter (length of bridge taps and direct line) are investigated. The method will be evaluated in a simulation environment. With the method and system for managing a line topology and related apparatus it is possible to provide a PLC system with information about network and line quality for performing quick diagnosis, analysis and troubleshooting upon a network and to perform continuous and automatic monitoring of network service quality, increasing the customer’s satisfaction and reducing operation cost.
