Jedná se o experimentální zařízení pro analýzu tření v umělém kyčelním kloubu, jehož funkce je založena na principu kyvadla. Součinitel tření mezi hlavicí a jamkou umělé náhrady je stanoven na základě útlumu kyvadla.
