Practical Applications of AI? Sign up for the Czech AI Factory Summer School

Artificial intelligence is transforming almost every aspect of modern life – from industry and public administration to science and research. But how do the technologies behind today's AI revolution actually work, and how can they be applied effectively in practice? These questions will be explored at the Czech AI Factory Summer School, taking place from 7 to 11 September 2026 in Ostrava. One of the project's key partners is the Faculty of Information Technology BUT.


The five-day programme is designed for students, PhD candidates, researchers, industry professionals and public sector representatives who want to gain insight into the latest trends in artificial intelligence and high-performance computing. The summer school will combine theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience through expert lectures, workshops and real-world case studies.

Participants will explore topics including machine learning, large language models, AI applications in the physical world, and the principles of trustworthy and secure artificial intelligence. The programme will also introduce the possibilities that supercomputing infrastructure offers for AI development and deployment. In addition to the technical programme, the event will provide opportunities to engage with leading experts from academia and industry and build valuable interdisciplinary connections.

The event is intended for industry professionals, researchers, public sector representatives, PhD candidates and university students. Participation is free of charge, including accommodation and meals, and the capacity is limited to 35 participants.
