To access the BUT Information System (hereinafter referred to as IS BUT) and most applications at BUT integrated into the single sign-on system, you must use your login credentials - VUTlogin or BUT personal number (perid) and VUTpassword or other authentication means.

VUTlogin, BUT personal number (perid) and VUTpassword are valid throughout BUT.

Don't know your VUTlogin, password, or can't log in?

If you have already created your access using the procedure below and are having trouble logging in, follow the information on the Forgotten password or authentication means tab.

  • You will find the initial password for the VUTpassword creation application in your e-application or in the delivered written "Decision on Admission". Creating a VUTpassword using the initial password is possible only once. If you have been admitted to multiple faculties, you still create the VUTpassword only once. You will therefore receive only one BUT personal number (perid) and one VUTpassword. You can create access to IS BUT as follows:
    • on the website http://login.vutbr.cz enter your birth number (personal ID) and initial password.
    • at the end of the whole transaction, you will know your BUT personal number (perid) and your chosen VUTpassword for logging into IS BUT. Please remember your chosen VUTpassword and keep it secret so that it cannot be misused by others. You must never tell your VUTpassword to anyone, nor send it by e-mail.   • If you already have functional university-wide login credentials from your previous studies at BUT, continue to use them and keep your initial password in a safe place. If you have forgotten your original VUTlogin and VUTpassword, follow the instructions on the Forgotten password or authentication means tab.
