The Fall Drawing Course at FFA Is Open to the Public

Would you like to develop your drawing skills under the guidance of an experienced instructor, or are you preparing for entrance examinations to art schools? The Faculty of Fine Arts at Brno University of Technology is opening its regular afternoon drawing course for the public, held every Thursday from September to December.

The course is intended for both beginners and advanced participants interested in drawing. Beginners will gain a solid foundation in observational drawing, learning essential techniques and working with proportion, form, and light. More experienced participants will have the opportunity to further develop their artistic expression through individual assignments. The course is also an excellent preparation for applicants to art schools.

Classes take place in a small group, allowing the programme to be adapted to the level and individual needs of each participant.

  • Dates: Every Thursday from 3 September to 17 December 2026

  • Time: 4:00–6:50 p.m.

  • Duration: 39 teaching hours (13 sessions)

  • Venue: Faculty of Fine Arts, Brno University of Technology (FFA BUT), Údolní 53 / Úvoz 33, Brno, Studio 129+137/U1 (Drawing Studio)

  • Capacity: 10 participants

  • Course fee: CZK 6,000 (including all art materials, equipment, and live models)

Please submit your application no later than 3 September 2026 by email to the course instructor at janl@favu.vut.cz. The course is limited to ten participants, and places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications are binding.
