Jiří Palacký received his letter of appointment from the hands of the Rector of BUT in accordance with the Higher Education Act. At the head of the Faculty he succeeded doc. Ing. arch. Radek Suchánek, Ph.D.
On taking up office, he thanked the outgoing management of the Faculty for its many years of work, in particular Dean Radek Suchánek and Vice-Deans Radek Toman, Jan Kratochvíl and Jan Malý Blažek.
“I appreciate what they have done for the Faculty, and their contribution remains visible even after the end of their term of office,” said Jiří Palacký. He also emphasised that the operation of the Faculty is continuing smoothly and that the handover of the individual agendas is proceeding in the standard manner in cooperation with the outgoing Vice-Deans.
The new Dean has also submitted to the Academic Senate of FA BUT a proposal for the appointment of new Vice-Deans. For the position of Vice-Dean for Studies in the Bachelor's and Follow-up Master's Study Programmes he proposes Mgr. Michal Konečný, Ph.D. As Vice-Dean for External and International Relations he proposed doc. Zdeňka Němcová Zedníčková, Ph.D. and as Vice-Dean for Doctoral Studies and Creative Activity Ing. arch. Lenka Štěpánková, Ph.D. The proposal will now be discussed by the Academic Senate of FA BUT.
