Planet Festival continues. BUT invites you to a chemistry show and a panel exhibition

Following a successful July programme, Festival Planet has returned to Kraví hora in Brno! Until Sunday, visitors can once again enjoy giant models of celestial bodies, a presentation of space-related activities at Brno University of Technology, and a rich accompanying programme.

In addition to the inflatable planets and other celestial objects, visitors can explore a panel exhibition showcasing projects and technologies developed at BUT. The exhibition highlights why the university is one of the key players in the Czech space sector and presents the wide range of activities its experts pursue in the field of space. Visitors will learn more about satellite development, student space teams, and BUT’s collaboration with leading national and international partners.

The programme also features the popular Chemistry Show presented by BUT chemists, who perform a series of spectacular experiments every evening, introducing the fascinating world of chemistry to children and adults alike in an entertaining way.

The accompanying programme also includes digital planetarium shows, guided talks at this year's new attraction Gigalon, an open-air cinema, and themed exhibitions dedicated to Jupiter and black holes. The outdoor exhibitions are free of charge, and all events take place only in favourable weather conditions.
Festival Planet was established in 2019 to mark the 50th anniversary of the Moon landing. It is organised by the Brno Observatory and Planetarium together with the artistic collective VISUALOVE and Kubíček Visionair, which manufactures the inflatable planetary models.
