For the eighteenth time, the student festival Hudba z FEKTu will provide the traditional musical send-off to the summer. On Wednesday 16 September 2026, four student bands will take to the stage from 12:00 in the car park between Technická 10 and Technická 12, and the day will be closed by two headliners: Fast Food Orchestra and Circus Problem. Admission is free.Last year's festival was attended by circa 9-10 thousand people. | Author: Jaroslav Remeš
The festival is organised by the Studenti pro studenty (Students for Students) association at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication (FEEC) as a voluntary, non-profit project. Its aim is to give student bands the chance to play an open-air concert in front of a large audience. The idea of holding the festival came about in 2008 and it has been staged every year since to mark the start of the winter semester.
This year's competition line-up features the bands Unhinged V, Aldente, PRECEPTOR and Tight Trail. All four qualified for the festival at this year's Warm Up. Once the results have been announced, the two headliners take over: first the ska-rock band Fast Food Orchestra, and to close the night the Balkan brass outfit Circus Problem.
Alongside the music, visitors can look forward to a supporting programme, competitions and activities provided by the festival's partners.
Admission is free for all visitors! Up-to-date information is available on the Hudba z FEKTu website and on the festival's Facebook and Instagram. You can see what last year's edition looked like in the video below:
