BUT has new associate professors. | Author: Václav KoníčekDuring three ceremonial events, the university leadership welcomed new PhD graduates and associate professors, who symbolically confirmed their efforts and completed an important stage of their professional and academic careers by taking the academic oath and receiving their diplomas or appointment decrees. Their achievements are the result of years of research, teaching activities, and countless hours spent in laboratories, workshops, and studios.The eleven new associate professors, appointed by the Rector of BUT based on nominations submitted by the deans, were introduced during the ceremony by members of the leadership of the respective faculties. The appointees present subsequently received their appointment decrees, officially entitling them to use the title of Associate Professor.

Therefore, do not forget that the primary mission of a university is to educate. At the ceremonial graduation event, 53 new PhD graduates took the doctoral oath. They completed their studies at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Information Technology, Faculty of Chemistry, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Architecture, Faculty of Fine Arts, Faculty of Business and Management, and the CEITEC BUT research centre.“Doctoral studies are primarily focused on independent scientific research activities. That is both their beauty and their challenge. Therefore, dear graduates, I wish that after today you will not remain alone.
