From 14 to 19 September 2026, BUT sports facilities will come alive with activity. The traditional Sports Week will give BUT students and employees the opportunity to try dozens of sports and physical activities free of charge. The programme includes team and individual sports, fitness, outdoor activities, as well as physiotherapy programmes and opportunities to learn more about your body. Registration for individual activities will open on 1 September at 12:00.BUT Sports Week Offers Dozens of Activities. Sports Week, organised by the Centre for Sports Activities BUT (CESA), will allow students and employees to try out some of the wide range of sports that CESA offers as part of physical education classes. Simply choose an activity that appeals to you and come and give it a try.
The programme includes both traditional sports and less conventional activities. Fans of team sports can try dodgeball, small-sided football or a badminton tournament, while those interested in individual sports can try tennis, table tennis, bouldering or rowing machines. The BUT Mile, workout sessions and self-defence will also be on offer.Sports enthusiasm, team spirit and the joy of movement – that’s what Sports Week at BUT is all about. | Author: CESA BUTThose who prefer outdoor activities can take part in mountain biking and trail riding, hiking, paddleboarding or a trip down the Zámecká Dyje River. On Friday, CESA will also offer a cycling trip along the Wine Trails in the Lednice-Valtice area or a hiking trip in South Moravia.
Sports Week also includes activities focused on fitness, healthy movement and prevention. The programme includes strength training, circuit training, Pilates, indoor cycling and the H.E.A.T. programme. Participants can also take advantage of the Back, Redcord and FitPainFree physiotherapy programmes or have their body parameters measured using InBody. A combination of biomechanical analysis and an examination by a physiotherapist will also be available.
Sports Week is not just about performance. Above all, it is an opportunity to find a form of physical activity that suits you and that you can continue throughout the academic year.
