BUT once again participates in European Sustainable Development Week

Brno University of Technology is a university with an environmental mindset, and therefore it will once again actively participate in the European Sustainable Development Week this year. The aim of the event, which will take place in the second half of September, is to raise awareness of the principles of sustainability and inspire students, employees, and the general public to adopt a responsible approach to the environment.

Sustainability at BUT is reflected in all activities, education, and research. Some related topics and projects will be presented at the European Sustainable Development Week (ESDW), which will take place from 20–26 September. Side events will be held from 18 September – 8 October.

“BUT is a technical university where we think about and find technical, technological, and social solutions to the environmental problems of our society,” said Milan Houser, BUT Vice-Rector for Artistic Activities and Sustainability. Experts from the university are therefore actively involved in addressing challenges related to environmental protection, climate change, and other sustainability issues. Thanks to the European Sustainable Development Week, the public has the opportunity to join in finding answers to these challenges together with them. What can people look forward to?
