The Researchers' Night was held again this year at BUT. | Author: Václav ŠirokýThis year's event revolved around the theme of communication. And as BUT researchers, students and other members of the university community demonstrated, there are many more ways to communicate than just through words. Visitors discovered how people and machines exchange information, how technologies communicate with each other, what the human body can reveal to us, and what role communication plays in areas such as construction, transport and information technology. And this year's event attracted a great deal of interest. A total of 7,327 visitors came to the faculties and other parts of Brno University of Technology during Researchers' Night, where more than 130 activities were on offer, surpassing attendance in previous years. All faculties and university units took part in the programme, including the BUT Tržnice Centre, offering visitors experiments, interactive demonstrations, lectures, games, workshops and the opportunity to explore places that are normally closed to the public. “BUT was the main place we wanted to visit during Researchers' Night!” could be heard throughout the evening.Thousands of visitors came to BUT. | Author: Václav KoníčekScience fans young and old appreciated not only the latest technologies, but above all the atmosphere at BUT. And an incredible 572 organisers from among the university's employees and students worked across the university to make sure everyone could enjoy the evening to the fullest.Researchers' Night, however, is not only an opportunity to show the public laboratories and the latest technologies. Above all, it offers a chance to meet the people who advance science, research, technology and the arts at BUT every day.
